Sitting in the stands as an 11-year-old in central Kansas, Huldon Tharp couldn't take his eyes off of one player on the field. The player excelled at both quarterback and defensive back for Derby High School, and while Tharp was impressed with the player's speed and athleticism, he was even more amazed that the player was always at the right spot at the right time.
