BYU AD Tom Holmoe: 'We’re way stronger than we thought we were'

Prior to Friday night’s game against Mississippi State, BYU athletic director Tom Holmoe joined the Voice of the Cougars, Greg Wrubell on the Cougar IMG Sports Network Pregame Show to discuss the state of BYU Athletics.

With the Big 12 Board of Directors entering day two of their meetings in Dallas later today, there has been a lot of speculation surrounding the possibility of Big 12 expansion. Holmoe even addressed the rumblings around possible expansion with Wrubell.

“With all the interest and the exposure about expansion, I can say going into this weekend I feel really good about where we are at."

Holmoe said that one of the positives through this expansion process has been the fact that BYU has been able to research and study themselves like never before.

“We’re [BYU] way stronger than we thought we were,” said Holmoe regarding the extensive research and study.

Holmoe also went on to say that there are bigger donors and bigger support surrounding BYU Athletics and that he is honored to be the Athletic Director at BYU.
