PROVO - In the early 2000’s under former BYU head coach Steve Cleveland the Cougar Cagers had unique connections on the recruiting trail. Junior college and international prospects were a major part of Cleveland’s success in rebuilding the BYU basketball program from when it was a 1-25 doormat when he took over.
Fast forward to today where head coach Dave Rose is looking or has tried to tap into similar paths to bolster his roster, which has garnered criticism from fans as they haven’t met expectations.
