Dynamic Duo Will Be Cougars

On Wednesday, Brian Soi and Dallas Reynolds drove down together to coach Gary Crowton's office to tell him that they will be wearing Cougar Blue next fall.
Dallas Reynolds, son of Cougar Offensive Line Coach Lance Reynolds, is a huge catch for the Cougars. Cougar fans should not take this commit for granted, Reynolds and Soi, were by far anything but a "sure catch" for BYU.

Says Leslie Reynolds (Dallas' mother), "BYU was by far NOT a 'sure thing,' other schools from all around the country were calling, and the coaches really did a great job recruiting him."
It was no secret however that whoever landed Reynolds, might also land Brian Soi, the 13th rated DT in the Nation.
Mrs. Reynolds continued, "I know the two had made some sort of an agreement that they would both sign with the same school, and it sure is a good thing they chose BYU."
Reynolds and Soi are very close friends, Dallas' mother considers Brian Soi one of her own, "These two boys are really close, Dallas even thinks he's part poly, I love Brian he's like one of my own. I love these two boys, you should see them together, they are so funny."
Dallas has been very quiet through this recruiting process, he kept his lips closed tight, he hardly even mentioned who he was considering.
"He's been real quiet, neither of us knew where he was going to go, he really kept quiet, this was his own decision." Said Reynolds.
He had his lips closed so tight, that he didn't even tell his parents of his commitment himself!
"I didn't know he had committed until earlier (Wednesday). Robbie Bosco called and said 'congratulations', and I just looked at Dallas and said, 'what did you do,' because I didn't know if he had committed to Tennessee or what, and Dallas just smiled at me. That's when Robbie told me he's going to BYU, and I just started to cry."
She was excited because she could now watch her son a few blocks away from home, instead of having to travel outside the state of Utah.
"I said to Dallas, if you go to Tennessee, I'll just have to get an apartment!"
Reynolds mother is sure that Dallas will cancel his trips with other schools, and confirmed that Brian has already.
Don't worry, Soi won't be changing his mind.
CI was the first to get a hold of the Reynolds home, as they have been the focus of a lot of national coverage, "I just got home, but my caller ID is full of names from Newspapers from all around the Country."
Don't expect to contact Dallas anytime soon either, "I'm trying to get Dallas out of town, we are going to get out for the weekend, were going to go watch Dallas' little brother Matt play basketball in St. George."
What a wonderful Christmas present Cougar fans, a good recruiting year can sure heal a lot of wounds caused by a lack luster performance on the field during the season.
