Joshua Quezada has decided to transfer two weeks before fall camp
Just after the possible good news of BYU announcing a home and home with Wisconsin that had BYU fans excited, they hear this evening's news that Joshua Quezada has decided to transfer.

What makes this hard for BYU fans is that this is just two weeks before fall camp begins. It seemed that Michael Alisa and Joshua "Juice" Quezada were going to carry the bulk of the load in the rushing game for the Cougars. It seemed that neither had emerged as the feature back.
Alisa came on strong in the season and was starting to get the edge over Quezada. Quezada was dealing with a nagging injury and had a tragic event when his brother Joseph died in a car accident.
BYU fans were excited for this year knowing that he would be coming in healthy, with two years of experience, and working hard to become more of a feature player. Unfortunately, that won't happen for BYU. "Josh is a great young man, and I appreciate all the hard work he has put in to help make our program successful," Coach Bronco Mendenhall said. "We will miss him, but I'm supportive of his future and his goals and wish the best for Josh and his family."
Though it is uncertain why he decided to transfer, why two weeks before fall camp? And where is he planning to transfer to? Right now we have no answers.
Now Alisa has to be feeling a little more pressure to become that feature back and carry the bulk of the workload. This also allows for others to step in. Looking to fill the void and showcase their talents are David Foote, Adam Hine, Jamaal Williams and Paul Lasike.
Foote comes in with the most experience as a senior playing both RB and special teams last year. He carried the ball 13 times for 146 yards with an 11.2 YPC. Foote is a very physical and hard running back who plays much like Bryan Kariya.
Adam Hine was a big recruit coming out of Snow Canyon High in St. George, UT but has not played for several years because of a two year LDS mission and then a redshirt year.
Jamaal Williams is a true freshman and a speed back from Fontana, California and Paul Lasike is a sophomore but last year was not on the team as he has converted from Rugby to football. This will definitely make fall camp much more competitive at the running back position.
